How do I import teams and rosters?

From the Teams tab, tap the import button and choose a CSV, TSV, or Excel (.xlsx) file. Teams auto-detects whether your file has one row per fencer or one row per team, and matches columns like TEAMNAME, FIRSTNAME, SURNAME, CLUB, and COUNTRY automatically. You'll see a preview before anything is saved, and importing into a team that already exists merges new fencers in rather than creating a duplicate.

How does team relay scoring work?

Teams follows the standard FIE relay format: three fencers per team, nine bouts, with the running score carrying forward toward targets of 5, 10, 15 — up to 45. Each bout has a built-in 3:00 timer, and only the final bout can end the match; earlier bouts simply hand off to the next leg once their target is reached.

How do substitutions work?

Tap "Substitute" at any point during a match to swap a fencer into an upcoming bout. Substitutions always take effect from the next bout onward — a fencer already on strip is never displaced mid-bout, and the standard rotation order is preserved automatically.

What happens if a team can't field three fencers?

A referee or captain can declare a forfeit at any point during a match. The opposing team is awarded the win, but the forfeiting team's tournament ranking is protected — it can never drop below the position they held immediately before the forfeit, for the rest of the event.

What tournament formats are supported?

Pool rounds (round-robin, with byes handled automatically for odd team counts) and single-elimination brackets (seeded, with byes auto-advancing in round one). You can switch a tournament's format at any time before it has been played; switching after matches are generated will reset the schedule and standings.

Can I export or print results?

Yes. Both the tournament results screen and individual match summaries have a Share button offering PDF or CSV export, which opens the standard iOS share sheet — including AirPrint, so you can print directly from there.

Does Teams collect or share my data?

No. Teams does not collect, transmit, or share any data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
